About us
The National Association of Life&Death is a humanitarian, non-profit organization. Our purpose is to start the good conversation about death and the dignified farewell.
We work to …
- Ensure that people get a worthy parting with life
- Help people fulfill their wishes towards the end of life
- Break down the taboos around death
- Inform about issues associated with death
We do this, among other things, by…
– Facilitating conversations about death at an educational level and in the public in general.
– Provide general information about practical matters in relation to death.
– Make exhibitions and events that focus on death from a personal, cultural-historical and artistic perspective.
After many years being situated at Nikolaj Plads 27 in the heart of Copenhagen The National Association of Life&Death moved to Copenhagen NV in May 2024. We are now situated near Bispebjerg Cemetery where we continue to work with Life&Death’s activities. Funebariet, which was an exhibition space devoted to the subject of death, has not moved with us, but we are working on finding an alternative exhibition space.
